- Provide analysis, benchmarking, and profiling of Physician Practices
- Responsible for monitoring and tracking all ancillary lab studies and communicate the resulting analysis of carrier denials, medical necessity, bundling issues, and provide an action plan to make corrections
- Medicare/Medicaid coding guidelines, including appeals processing and medical necessity issues with review, HCPCS modifier implementation and reimbursements (APG’s)
- Responsible for training coding personnel
- Monitor and validate coding productivity of proper DRG/ICD-9/CPT4 code assignment to insure optimal reimbursement and respond to changes in code assignment, along with addressing fraud and abuse issues
- Fee Schedule management with basic RBRVS knowledge
- Responsible for revenue tracking for optimizing practice income purchasing with inventory control
- Establishment and Implementation of Coding Unit policy and procedures
- Current on OSHA & HIPAA standards, regulations, and training in the work place
